Summary
The North Tahoe Community Alliance Sponsorship and Multi-Year Investment Program was created to leverage Transient Occupancy Tax and assessments from the NLT-TBID in support of priority projects, programs, services, or maintenance activities that require annual financial support to achieve success and realize community goals over three years (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2026).
In its inaugural year, nearly 40 applications requested funding for projects that align with the NTCA’s mission to achieve economic health, community vitality, and environmental stewardship.
Ultimately, 17 projects were selected by the four volunteer committees the NTCA convenes (TBID Advisory, TBID Zone 1, TOT and CAP committees) and approved by the NTCA Board of Directors and the Placer County Board of Supervisors to receive up to $20,027,558 in funding support over three years. These grants unlock matching funding of up to $35,383,799 that can be leveraged, bringing the total funding investment to $55,411,357 over the next three years.
