  • The Tahoe City Park & Ride Winter Operation program will begin on December 14, 2024 for the 2024/25 Winter season.
  • Service is on weekends and holidays.
  • This winter, there will be double the capacity of the Park & Ride service to Palisades Tahoe, reducing headways to 20 minutes, when traffic is flowing.
  • Also introducing the Sugar Bowl/ Donner Summit Shuttle which will provide daily transit connections between Truckee, and Sugar Bowl/Donner Ski Ranch.
  • There will be an additional weekend of shuttle service for Park & Ride service to Northstar.
  • The operation includes snow removal from additional areas at 64 acres in Tahoe City, providing 70 additional parking spaces for peak ski days.

Recent Updates:

  • The TART Park & Ride program saw great success in its first winter by providing trips to 2,974 people from the Tahoe City Transit Center/64-Acres and 3,192 people from the resort back to the Tahoe City Transit Center/64-Acres, which exceeded the goal of 4,000 riders.
  • The Tahoe City Park & Ride program finished the season on March 31, 2024. It operated for 26 days during the season, up from two days prior to TOT-TBID funding. The program will resume operations for the winter 2024-25 season in December 2024.
