Tara Schoedinger was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Northstar California Resort in November 2024. She has a Business degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Tara began her career in IT, where she spent the first 20 years, including a position at Vail Resorts. In 2010, she became Mayor of Jamestown, a historic town west of Boulder. Following devastating floods in September 2013 that destroyed much of the town’s infrastructure and homes, Tara left her role at Vail Resorts to lead the recovery efforts for Jamestown. She returned to Vail Resorts in 2016 as Chief of Staff to then-Chief Marketing Officer Kirsten Lynch, who is now the CEO of the company. In 2019, Tara transitioned to serve as Chief of Staff for Pat Campbell, the former President of the Mountain Division. In 2021, she was appointed Vice President and General Manager at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. In her free time, Tara and her husband enjoy mountain biking, skiing, and camping, making North Lake Tahoe an ideal place to call home.

Andy has worked in the ski industry for the last forty years, starting as a guide in the French Alpine Resort of Flaine in ’84.  Since then, he has worked in various operations at Vail Mountain, Colorado, then moved to Northstar, CA to work on the Village Development in 2002. He oversaw the construction of the temporary and permanent skier service buildings and retail components of the new village, and summer and winter operations at Northstar from 2007-2020.  In 2020 he started Hilltop Consulting and Development and chiefly focused on summer development projects for Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Deer Valley and Palisades Tahoe.  In 2023 he joined the Homewood team to oversee operations and guide operational development, becoming GM in late 2024.

Colin Perry is the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. He joined the luxury mountain resort in 2020 with more than 20 years of hospitality management experience. A tenured industry professional, Colin oversees all aspects of operations at the resort including financial performance, employee and guest engagement, community relationships, partnerships, and talent development.

Sue Rae Irelan is the current NTCA Board Chair and the Placer County Board of Supervisors’ appointed board member. A longtime resident, Sue Rae has lived and worked in Tahoe since 1986. She was the past Executive Director of the Lake Tahoe Music Festival, served as a Program Analyst for the California Tahoe Conservancy, and operated a sole proprietor environmental planning consulting business. In addition to her role on the NTCA Board of Directors, Sue Rae is also a member of the Tahoe XC Board of Directors.

Jill was the owner of Tahoe Moon Properties Inc., which she started in 2001. In 2023 she sold the company to Tahoe Truckee Vacation Properties and currently holds a position with them as Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement.  She brought her two children up in North Lake Tahoe and has always been involved in the Community.  She is passionate about workforce housing and creating a vital and healthy community in North Lake Tahoe. Prior to moving to North Lake Tahoe Jill lived in Australia and was the National Marketing Manager with a Financial Services Company.  She also currently serves on the Tahoe Housing Hub Board and Placer County’s STR Steering Committee.

DJ is married to Lichelle and the father of two boys. He loves Tahoe and is committed to its community. DJ is a trail runner, skier and swimmer, and is Director of Business Development at Granlibakken Management Company. He also holds a volunteer board seat with Ski California, and committee positions on the NLT|TBID Zone 1 Committee and the Marketing Cooperative Committee.

Jim Phelan is the general manager of the Tahoe City Marina, a position he has held since 1997.

Danny is the Director of Operations and Managing Partner of Tahoe Restaurant Group and a member of the TBID Advisory Committee.  Danny’s 17 years in restaurant leadership have been an integral part of making Tahoe Restaurant Group a top-performing group in the area. He feels fortunate to be an investor and partner with the group. Danny oversees 4 locations around Lake Tahoe, including Fireside Pizza Company, Rubicon Pizza Company, Base Camp Pizza Company & Azul Latin Kitchen.  As a graduate of the University of Vermont with a BS in Business Administration & Operations Management, he is passionate about business and the outdoors.  Danny has lived in Lake Tahoe since 2007 and has spent equal amounts of time on the North Shore/Truckee and South Shore of Lake Tahoe.  He loves to call Tahoe home and has put down roots here with his wife and two children.  He is proud to be part of the decision making that will make Tahoe a better place to live today and for future generations.

Kevin Drake is co-founder and CEO of Alibi Ale Works, which operates a brewery and two brewpubs that are community hubs in North Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Prior to founding Alibi in 2014, Kevin spent 15 years working in watershed science and restoration consulting in the Tahoe area. He also serves as Placer County’s representative on the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission and is an active member of North Tahoe Business Association’s Economic Vitality Committee. Kevin is a 20-year resident of Kings Beach and is passionate about creating true vitality and resilience in our community.

Samir is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kila Properties, formed in 2007.  He is responsible for all aspects of this real estate development firm which specializes in the acquisition, development, management and disposition of hotels and workforce housing in Northern California resort destinations.  Previously, Samir worked in Silicon Valley in Senior Executive roles focusing on business development and marketing.  He helped guide and grow four technology companies over the course of nine years, all of which were acquired by larger companies.  Prior to that, Samir was an attorney in private practice.  He received a JD, with Honors, from George Washington University, and a BA in Psychology, with Honors, from Wake Forest University.

After stints in Aspen and San Francisco, Dave moved to North Tahoe in 1977 from Michigan. He started Tahoe Dave’s Skis & Boards in the fall of 1977 at the Henrikson building in Tahoe City with a small room, 15 pairs of skis, a workbench, and an immense desire to “have a good time and stay out of jail.” (Which still applies today.) Since Dave couldn’t afford to pay rent for his new business and a place to live, he did the only thing he could… he made a makeshift bedroom above the bathroom in the ski shop. The rest is history. What started out as a small one-man shop in Tahoe City has turned into five stores in four convenient locations, giving Dave the ability to offer his “rent at any location, return or exchange at any location” program. Dave has remained involved in non-profits and political-type committees. Keeping the sense of community alive has been a passion, along with good live music. Dave says that being involved is the best way to keep Tahoe, Tahoe.

Devin Middlebrook was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. He is the government affairs manager for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. Devin represents TRPA on the Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Council and plays a key role in coordinating the regional sustainable recreation initiatives. Devin earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and sustainability from California State University, Chico and went on to receive his MBA from California State University, Sacramento. Devin is the former Mayor and City Council member of the City of South Lake Tahoe. As Mayor, Devin advocated for the environment, economic diversity, climate, housing, recreation, equality, and transportation. Growing up in Tahoe gave Devin an appreciation for the environment and getting outdoors, and the passion to ensure future generations have the same experience.
